12 Month STA: Business Support Manager (Research and Early Development Oncology)
The Business Support Manager plays a key role in providing broad management support to the Research and Early Development Oncology (RED ONC) cluster. The role is critical in anticipating future needs and identifying gaps and then creating and implementing solutions effectively across RED ONC. The position will work closely with the Chief of Staff and the Subcluster Leads, as well as key partner functions. The position reports to the Head of RED ONC.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, RED ONC Business Support Manager 12 Month STA, are to:
Provide broad management and project management support for the RED ONC leadership team;
Identify and drive implementation of strategic initiatives and projects based on strategic priority;
Support in the delivery of RED ONC leadership meetings to ensure appropriate focus on critical operational topics (DSO, finance, people communication etc.), key initiative updates, and ensuring appropriate documentation and communication as well as follow through of actions;
Supervises and supports operational activities to develop & maintain operational RED ONC infrastructure (e.g., SharePoint, intranet site, collaboration with assistants, etc.);
Supports critical internal communication strategy and implementation;
Supports outcome planning including long-term, mid-term and 90-day outcomes across RED ONC as well as monitoring progress and providing interventions to ensure timely progress;
Supports pipeline and portfolio activities and cross-functional meetings as needed (i.e., CORe, pipeline reviews etc.);
Provide support in developing executive presentations for PhLT, RDLT and external events as needed by leadership team members, to ensure appropriate positioning of RED ONC;
Pioneers and champions new ways of working in line with DSO principles, embedding these across RED ONC and championing them in the work that they do.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent;
Outstanding operational management skills, to include internal consulting, project management and leadership, and highly effective teamwork and collaboration skills;
Demonstrated experience leading large scale projects/programs in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry;
Strong verbal and written communication & presentation skills;
Ability to simplify and communicate complex topics to the organization and senior management;
Strength in troubleshooting, problem solving & high degree of proactivity;
Global networker and collaborator;
Strives relentlessly for higher innovation, growth, and performance;
Ability to travel internationally;
Experience working with multicultural teams;
Spoken and written fluency in English essential, German beneficial;
Life sciences degree and/or business degree;
