Job Description

The Barista for ARVA Italian Restaurant with F&B 575 at Aman New York will greet guests, take orders, prepare, and serve hot and cold beverages, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

This position has an hourly rate of $16.50 per hour + tips.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Greet every guest with a friendly smile, positive attitude and take their order if necessary.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
• Provide excellent service and build rapport with guests by learning names and favorite drinks.
• Operate coffee equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Stock and replenish supplies as needed.
• Answer guest questions about menu items and ingredients
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years’ experience in a luxury hotel environment or similar restaurant or café setting
• Positive, engaging, and energetic personality.
• Able to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervision.
• Very high attention to detail.
• Sensitive to cultural nuances.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
• Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environment.
• Excellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure and with various stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policies.
• Ability to carry, push, and pull up to 30 lbs; standing, bending and lifting will be required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Multi-lingual is a plus.
