We are seeking an entry-level Business Intelligence Data Engineer to help build and enhance our internal platforms and data ecosystem. In this role, you will optimize data workflows, deliver actionable insights, and provide clear, concise reporting to support departments across the organization. In this role you will:

  • Manage daily Business Intelligence platforms for the Thunder organization and support ETL processes by organizing raw data in Excel, building automation pipelines using Python or VBA, and creating Tableau visualizations and executive summaries to highlight trends
  • Write, optimize, and automate data warehouse feeds using POSTGRESQL or other relational database languages
  • Maintain clean code and leverage continuous integration practices to deploy, operate, and support data pipelines using Python, Microsoft Flows, Power Automate, or other automation platforms
  • Participate in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) initiatives, including database management, predictive modeling for sales leads and customer retention using R or similar tools, and producing dynamic reports on campaign performance
  • Measure and analyze marketing strategy effectiveness, preparing presentations and ad hoc reports as needed on performance across business segments
  • Enhance the robustness, cleanliness, and timeliness of existing data processes across the organization
  • Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve data issues by benchmarking KPIs
  • Collaborate with multiple departments, serving as an internal consultant on analytical tools, automation technologies, and data visualizations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant or quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, MIS, Computer Science) or equivalent work/military experience.
  • Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Tableau experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Experience with relational databases using SQL, Python, and/or R required (POSTGRESQL preferred).
  • Knowledge of predictive modeling techniques (e.g., regression analysis) for customer profiling, segmentation, needs analysis, and other quantitative/qualitative campaign analyses preferred.
  • Experience with ticketing and CRM systems, as well as spreadsheets, relational databases, and statistical packages preferred.
  • Experience with Archtics or other ticketing systems beneficial.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate or other process automation platforms beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation, with effective communication across internal teams, external agencies, and vendors.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, while maintaining a collaborative spirit.

Additional Details:

This is a full-time, hourly, in-person position reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence & Analytics. The primary work location is the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. Must have valid driver’s license and transportation.
