This position is for a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) , not a generalist BA. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in both business and systems analysis, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. This role supports a broad portfolio of custom-built and third-party applications and integrations, working across multiple business units.
You will be responsible for understanding business needs, documenting requirements, supporting implementation of new features, troubleshooting existing issues, and mentoring junior team members. This includes both strategic initiatives and urgent production fixes.
Facilitate and manage meetings effectively; prioritize time and tasks
Adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple concurrent assignments
Professionally engage with stakeholders at all levels to resolve requirements and prioritization conflicts
Communicate clearly, concisely, and appropriately for all audiences
Perform scalable BSA tasks across a range of project sizes (from bug fixes to major initiatives)
Ensure adherence to SDLC standards
Write high-quality user stories with detailed acceptance criteria
Understand and convey the business vision for all enhancements and projects
Conduct cost-benefit analysis and advise on build-vs-buy decisions
Use varied elicitation methods (interviews, JAD sessions, shadowing, surveys, etc.)
Document requirements, workflows, and system impacts (business requirements, SOWs, process maps)
Collaborate in design sessions and communicate system impacts to technical teams
Translate business requirements into technical specifications, source/target mappings
Support integration planning and impact analysis for changing data sources
Coordinate with QA and product owners to align on testing and UAT processes
Familiarity with HR systems
Experience with eCommerce implementation projects
Proficient with Microsoft 365: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
Strong understanding of web and client/server application concepts
Capable of conflict resolution, effective facilitation, and negotiation
Mentor junior analysts to enhance team capability
