Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Special Education or Related Studies LBS1 certification through ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education)Bilingual is a plus but not requiredNew Graduates are welcome Role Overview:As a Special Education Teacher, you will support students with diverse learning needs by creating inclusive and personalized educational plans that help them thrive both academically and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Accommodate, modify and adapt lessons and curriculum as needed to meet individual student needs and IEP GoalsSupport in the facilitation of IEP meetings as well as development of the IEPCreates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental levels and interests of their studentsSet and communicate clear expectations for classroom behavior and school environment by applying positive reinforcement and/or behavior modification techniques as needed.
