We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation PAD **Position Overview:** Responsible for ensuring patient safety during therapeutic exercise sessions, including monitoring vital signs and equipment usage. Collaborates with healthcare professionals to develop customized exercise programs that address individual health needs. Independently leads cardiac rehabilitation classes, assessing patient responses to physical activity and initiating medical intervention when necessary. Management reserves the right to revise the job description or require that other tasks be performed when the circumstances of the job change (for example, emergencies, staff changes, workload, or technical development)._ **EDUCATION:** _Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._ Bachelor's: exercise physiology or related field **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:** BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider **DEPARTMENT REQUIRED CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:** Department, PAMF Cardiology: ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support **TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:** 2 years recent relevant experience **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:** Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, chemistry, and physics. In-depth knowledge of exercise testing, exercise equipment and quality control. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize independently with follow through in a timely manner. Ability to design, implement, and supervise individualized exercise prescriptions for people with chronic disease and disabling conditions.
