Position: Live-Out Estate Manager
Location: Greenwich, CT
Compensation:Salary commensurate with experience; Health insurance
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with flexibility for weekends and holidays
A discreet, ultra-private family in Greenwich, CT is seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Estate Manager to oversee the daily operations and long-term maintenance of their 10,000 sq. ft. primary residence, with occasional oversight of an additional guest home on the property.
The household operates with minimal staff, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable stepping in wherever needed with a “no job is beneath me” attitude. This is not a delegating role—the ideal candidate is proactive, self-motivated, has high standards, solutions-oriented mindset, and takes pride in doing the work personally.A willingness to learn, figure things out independently, and ask questions when necessary is essential for success in this trusted position.
Property Maintenance:
Perform routine walk-throughs and ensure overall curb appeal and cleanliness of the grounds.
Maintain both the main residence and a smaller guest house on property.
Systems Oversight:
Conduct regular inspections of all systems including HVAC, alarms, lighting, internet, plumbing, pool, irrigation, and electrical.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical or mechanical issues personally.
Hands-On Repairs:
Utilize strong handyman skills to address general home maintenance without outsourcing unless necessary.
Ensure quick and efficient resolution of issues with a proactive approach.
Vendor Coordination:
Schedule, supervise, and evaluate the work of all outside contractors and service providers.
Ensure all work is performed to the highest standard and in a timely manner.
Financial & Administrative Tasks:
Handle petty cash, track small household expenses, and communicate updates as needed.
Report directly to the Estates Manager who oversees all family properties.
Availability & Flexibility:
Be present and responsive when the family is in residence, including weekends and major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter).
Minimum 5–10 years’ experience managing UHNW estates or working with high-profile clients.
Deep knowledge of home systems, with strong hands-on capabilities and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Comfortable working without oversight in a minimally staffed household.
Strong work ethic, proactive, highly organized, and discreet.
Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
Local to Greenwich, CT with a valid driver’s license.
