About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Regulatory Attorney to contribute to the development of practical legal resources. In this role, you will create "how-to" practice notes, forms, checklists, and legal analysis on a range of legal topics, with a focus on healthcare regulatory, transactional, and compliance-based matters.
This position is ideal for an attorney with a strong background in healthcare law, compliance, and legal research, who enjoys writing and content development. You'll have the opportunity to draft new materials, review and enhance existing content, and ensure that all guidance is clear, practical, and informed by case law, statutes, regulations, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Develop user-friendly legal practice notes, forms, and checklists.
Conduct legal analysis and create practical guides on topics such as healthcare regulations, licensing, governance, compliance, fraud prevention (Anti-Kickback, FCA), Medicare/Medicaid reimbursements, and more.
Provide insights into software licensing, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and digital healthcare technologies.
Research and update content to reflect the latest legal developments.
Apply expertise in legal taxonomy and structured content development.
Edit and refine materials using Microsoft Word (Track Changes) and online research tools.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active U.S. bar membership in good standing.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare regulatory law.
Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, HealthCare.gov, and healthcare compliance functions.
Experience in transactional healthcare law, licensing issues, and governance.
Background in legal writing, editing, and research—prior experience in publishing (e.g., law firm newsletters, trade journals, magazines) is a plus.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects independently.
