We have an outstanding career opportunity for aLab Technician - Electronicsto join a leading Company located in theStamford, CT surrounding area. Salary: $60k - 70K/yr Job Responsibilities: + Work on test equipment used for night vision goggles. + Create data from devices, record , and adjus t. + Lab-related role (NOT manufacturing). + Perform calibration. + Apply science and math skills. + Technical background: assembly, soldering, optical assembly (optical or mechanical knowledge). + Strong math skills and record-keeping. + Use Excel spreadsheets. + Create PDF and Word documents. + Calibrate equipment. + Follow procedures. + Electronic and mechanical repairs. + Calibrate and troubleshoot equipment. + Work on test equipment used to test goggle . + Radiometry - will train. + Photometry - will train. + More about personality fit and overall skill level than just paper qualifications. + Eventually will be customer-facing. + Setup equipment and make calibration equipment. Basic Hiring Criteria: + 3+ years of electronic testing. + Lab background (not manufacturing) - science environment. + Math skills + Record keeping. + Military experience with goggles and equipment is rare but a plus. Desired Qualifications: + Circuit board experience (SMT - Surface Mount Technology). + Strong communication. This position requires access to technologies and hardware subject to U.S. national security-based export control requirements.
