Truck Technicians / Mechanics Wanted! Multiple Positions Available! Medium Duty – Full Time Established in 1930, Frank's Truck Center is an award-winning dealership serving our clients with high quality customer service. We're looking for energetic, experienced mechanics to add to the growing team in our world-class Service Department. Family owned and operated for over 90 years Frank's Truck Center and Frank's GMC is a proud GMC franchise in addition to representing Hino, Freightliner & Isuzu commercial trucks. Our dealership is located in Lyndhurst, New Jersey and also has service, parts & financing departments on site. We specialize in commercial trucks and have a large commercial truck parts department that serves New Jersey, New York City and more. We offer a full benefits package including:

Some Job Responsibilities are:

• The day-to-day duties include diagnosing and preparing vehicles for repairs, performing repair work with the utmost of skill and accuracy and completing all duties in a timely manner.
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed.
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Willingness to contribute to the team by participating in ongoing training

Qualifications needed are:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-5+ years of Service Technician experience required
• A or B level qualification including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair a preferred and a PLUS
• ASE Certification preferred and a BIG PLUS
• Technical Training preferred and a PLUS
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. or more with or without assistance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to work in a shop environment that is effected by frequently changing temperatures.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to continue to learn and keep up with certifications and training
