Position Summary: The Program Director Relations Executive is accountable for successful management of the deliverables of roughly 70 independent contractors retained as subject matter experts to facilitate our Councils as Council Program Directors (PDs). This position oversees the sourcing, selection, contracting, and quality control of PD deliverables to our members, and termination of PD contracts, all in an effort to ensure the delivery of high-quality, impactful, and engaging meetings that address timely and relevant business issues. The ideal candidate for this role brings a strong background in executive leadership, program management, and team development, with a proven ability to foster collaboration, drive performance, and enhance member engagement and retention. Accountabilities: 1. Team Functional Leadership: Scope the services required of PDs to align with Councils business objectives and to enable collaboration with other TCB teams (e.g., Centers, Events) Source, select, negotiate contract and fee terms, and onboard PDs. Ensure a sufficient backup pipeline of experts with experience. Negotiate and manage PD retainer agreements to ensure they clearly confirm the scope and quality of PD services expected. Foster a collaborative and supportive environment where PDs can share best practices with each other and TCB staff and continuously improve their programs. Establish a fee schedule for Council program deliverables for contracts. Negotiate fees with new PDs as well as renewals, taking into consideration the PDs area of and level of expertise and experience, name recognition, quality of PD deliverables, and track record of member recruitment and retention. Where deliverables fail to meet the expertise or quality level necessary, handle the termination of PD contracts and source a high-quality replacement. Where PDs elect to terminate their contracts, source replacements. 2. Program Development and Execution: Ensure that PDs meet required deliverables, including working well with Council staff to execute compelling meetings and programs. Provide PDs with access to TCB researchers, Center Leaders, and other experts that can inform the Council programs and help elevate TCBs research and market presence. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of meeting content and facilitation to ensure high levels of Member engagement and satisfaction. 3. Collaboration: Ensure PDs effectively collaborate with other staff members and departments, including but not limited to Events and Research. Support new Member recruiting, including direct PD support in recruiting and retention. Lead efforts with Council leadership to establish and execute a new Council pipeline, ensuring momentum and tangible result 4. Member Engagement and Retention: Assist the U.S. Councils team in developing strategies and initiatives to enhance PD efforts with Member recruitment, engagement, and retention. Monitor Member feedback and address problems or deficiencies in deliverables with PDs so that improvements can be implemented. 5. Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish and track service level metrics relevant to PD effectiveness. Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on the performance and impact of the PDs and Councils. 6. Business Contribution As a member of the US Councils Leadership Team, ensure all items within the purview of the role align with and support business objectives. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in business or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in executive leadership, program management, or a related field. Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams. Strong understanding of peer networking and executive-level engagement. Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior executives. Understanding of basic contract terms and negotiations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
