The Senior Backend Developer will play a key role in designing and maintaining the backend systems that power a high-performance, global digital asset platform. This role focuses on developing scalable, secure, and low-latency services while contributing to new features, integrations, and innovative product offerings. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment, collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and security teams. You will leverage your expertise in Node.js , microservices, and databases to enhance platform reliability, performance, and security. Your work will directly impact the experience of a global user base, supporting real-time trading, blockchain integration, and advanced financial services. Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and microservices architecture
• Build secure, reliable, and scalable APIs and backend processes for enterprise-grade applications
• Implement new products, features, and platform enhancements using agile development methodologies
• Ensure system performance and responsiveness at scale, supporting global user growth and high-availability requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, security, and frontend engineering to define requirements and deliver solutions
• Integrate with blockchain and other financial technologies while maintaining best-in-class security standards
• Troubleshoot issues, optimize system performance, and participate in on-call rotations if required
• Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript, with experience in backend development of complex platforms
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB)
• Solid understanding of security best practices and application-level protections
• Experience in blockchain integration and high-availability systems is a plus
• Knowledge of other languages such as Ruby, Rust, or C++ is beneficial
• Experience with message queues, caches, and job queue systems (e.g., Redis)
• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for a remote, globally distributed team
