This position is located at the El Monte Field Office in El Monte.

The incumbent performs the most difficult transactions; interprets, applies, and explains provisions of the California Vehicle Code, administrative regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to the registration and ownership of vehicles and licensing of drivers; resolves issues and tactfully mediates complaints from customers; completes various reports; provides staff with training; assists first-level supervisors in the day-to-day planning, organizing and directing of work related to Field Office activities; provides lead direction and guidance to Motor Vehicle Representatives; acts as an expert resource on registration and driver licensing matters; and acts as relief control cashier.

The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.
