Grocery Store Refrigeration Installation Foreman

Pay Range: $35 - $44/hr DOE + Robust Benefits + Incentives

How you’ll spend your time as a Grocery Store Refrigeration Installation Foreman:

• Installing hangers, piping, insulation, and saddles for commercial rack refrigeration systems and components (e.g., evaporator coils, compressors, condensers) and equipment (e.g., walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases).
• Receiving, setting, and trimming of refrigerated case fixtures and walk-in coolers/freezers.
• Installing case fixture and walk-in cooler/freezer condensate drain lines.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and EMS/electrical schematics to ensure accurate installation and system functionality.
• Ensuring safety and cleanliness, including adhering to EPA regulations for refrigerant handling and disposal.
• Using and maintaining tools and diagnostic and testing equipment.
• Lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
• Traveling for out-of-town work (including Puerto Rico) and night shifts as project schedules require.
• Installing and wiring electrical and Energy Management Systems (EMS) in compliance with local and national codes.
• Observing, testing, and troubleshooting newly installed systems to ensure proper function and efficiency.
• Communicating with construction and project managers, participating in job meetings to ensure seamless project execution.
• Accurately tracking time and materials used on jobs, charging parts and equipment to job numbers, and maintaining records of work performed.

Skills & experience we'd like you to have as a Grocery Store Refrigeration Installation Foreman:

• 5+ years of foreman experience in grocery store refrigeration installation.
• EPA 608 Certification (Universal or Type II) for handing refrigerants.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with using a wide range of tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with piping, brazing, and soldering.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Strong communication and client service skills.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials
• Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, and in different weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license.
