Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
Repair or replace worn or defective parts, including engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspension systems, and air brakes.
Conduct DOT inspections and ensure vehicles comply with federal and state safety standards.
Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the parts department to ensure availability of necessary components.
Road-test trucks to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
Keep work area clean, safe, and organized.
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel or truck technician (or similar role).
Strong understanding of diesel engines, air systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic components.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Must have own basic hand tools.
Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Standing, bending, and working under vehicles for extended periods.
Exposure to noise, fumes, and shop environments.
