Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and test equipment.

• Repair or replace worn or defective parts, including engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspension systems, and air brakes.

• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure vehicles comply with federal and state safety standards.

• Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with the parts department to ensure availability of necessary components.

• Road-test trucks to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.

• Keep work area clean, safe, and organized.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel or truck technician (or similar role).

• Strong understanding of diesel engines, air systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic components.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

• Must have own basic hand tools.

• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

• Standing, bending, and working under vehicles for extended periods.

• Exposure to noise, fumes, and shop environments.
