Requires competence, as determined by competency assessments, in a variety of imaging equipment and technology. Practices proper safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients. Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Ensures high level of service to patients through proper communication, technique, and safety guidelines. Our Mayo Clinic Radiology department continues to grow in innovation, education, and technology. As we continue to add the most advanced, high technology scanners to our fleet, we are looking for amazing Sonographers to join our team. Our Sonographers produce high quality images that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Department of Radiology, procedure protocol, and the American College of Radiology. Requires competence, as determined by competency assessments, in a variety of imaging equipment and technology. Practices proper safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients. Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Ensures high level of service to patients through proper communication, technique, and safety guidelines. Visit us at:** ** **Qualifications** Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program. **Additional Qualifications:** Organized, efficient and multifunctional. Ability to work independently. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication. Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends. Ultrasound Sonographer experience preferred. **License or Certifications:** + Registry-eligible candidates must be ARDMS registered in either Vascular Technology (RVT) or RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) within 6 month of employment (RVT preferred first) and both RVT and RDMS within 12 months of employment. + Third certification (Abdominal or OB/GYN) completed within 18 months of employment. + Employees that provide breast imaging are required to obtain RDMS (Breast) certification within 24 months of achieved competency. + Employees hired for a role specific to vascular sonography, who are not eligible to apply for Abdomen and OB/GYN certifications, are exempt from the requirement of obtaining these registries. + BLS certified. **Exemption Status** Nonexempt **Compensation Detail** Compensation range is $36.89 - $55.29 / hour **Benefits Eligible** Yes **Schedule** Full Time **Hours/Pay Period** 64 **Schedule Details** Monday to Friday varied daytime hours 7a-5p Rotating weeknight on-call 5pm-7am Monday to Thursday **Weekend Schedule** On-Call Every 6th Weekend Friday 5pm to Monday 7am **International Assignment** No **Site Description** Just as our reputation has spread beyond our Minnesota roots, so have our locations.
