Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in ASL, Deaf Studies, Education, or a related field (preferred).
Certification in ASL instruction (e.g., ASLTA certification) is a strong asset.

Experience:

Proven experience teaching ASL in various settings (classroom, online, community).
Experience working with diverse learners, including children, adults, and those with special needs.

Skills:

Fluency in American Sign Language.
A deep understanding of Deaf culture and history.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and classroom management abilities.
Familiarity with digital tools for virtual instruction (if applicable).

Compensation:

Starting at $40 per hour, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
