Preferred Background:
Experience with mid-sized NCDOT or SCDOT infrastructure projects
Background with large heavy civil contractors or small/mid-sized specialty subcontractors
Preference for candidates currently located in North or South Carolina or with regional experience
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation for owner review
Analyze project plans and specs; assist with pre-construction planning and design interpretation
Coordinate subcontractors and field crews to ensure timely, high-quality work
Track project quantities and costs for billing and budget control
Assist in developing and maintaining CPM schedules (Primavera P6 preferred)
Contribute to design of temporary works (formwork, shoring, etc.)
Manage procurement of materials and ensure on-time delivery
Submit compliance certifications and maintain quality control documentation
Develop efficient, safe work plans in collaboration with field leadership
Review shop drawings and as-builts; manage submission processes with project owners
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (required)
Minimum 5 years of experience on NCDOT or SCDOT projects (required)
Strong technical skills: Microsoft Office Suite, BlueBeam, CAD
Experience with or exposure to scheduling and cost software: Primavera P6, HCSS (preferred)
Detail-oriented, organized, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without current or future visa sponsorship
Travel Requirements:
Primarily local travel within the Carolinas during business hours
Occasional overnight or out-of-area travel may be required
Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record required
