Job Description

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Roving Leasing Agent to join one of our long-term client’s team and help leasing efforts within their Minnesota Portfolio. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience in property management, have knowledge and experience with affordable housing within section 8/section 42. This role is contracted and expected to last 30-60 days in length – this role is to help lease open vacancies.

Salary: $21-$23/hour DOQ.

Skills & Qualifications

• At least one year of leasing experience or closely related face-to-face sales experience is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to source and attract clients/customers with a demonstrated ability to "close" a sale.
• Ability to engage in interpersonal interactions that are culturally responsive, ensuring consideration for differing needs and expectations.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting practices.
• Proven ability to work in a team atmosphere.
• Proven ability to organize and prioritize work projects.
• Must have a commitment to learning and participating in diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
• Must be a resourceful, problem solving, relationship-building, seeker of excellence.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance and access to a reliable vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to prospective tenants and current residents.
• Manage property leasing processes, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws.
• Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite for efficient operations.
• Conduct marketing efforts to attract potential renters and maintain occupancy levels.
• Handle tenant inquiries, resolve conflicts, and maintain positive relationships.
• Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and accounting duties.

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 1 years' experience in leasing –affordable housing experience is required.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Yardi or Entrada.
• Hospitality mindset, outgoing and friendly with residents - customer service.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and Excel.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
• Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check before employment.
